MicroFiber Vegan Leather

Microfiber leather is a result of a technologically advanced manufacturing technique that involves combining Microfiber and PU to create a durable leather alternative. Microfiber is 30% less impactful on the environment compared to animal leathers in water usage, eutrophication and global warming. In addition to being more friendly to the environment, Micro-Fiber also contains several wonderful properties that animal leather lacks, such as:

  • Water Resistant: Our vegan leather has a light PU coating surface that wicks away moisture and liquids.
  • Scratch Resistant: The durability of the microfiber allows our shoes to fight against scratches, stains, and wear. Test: Run your fingernail across our microfiber leather to test for scratch-resistance.
  • Lightweight (1 lbs. lighter): Compared to our competitors that offer vegan leather footwear, we highly value lightweight shoes designed to make you feel lighter and more mobile. For example, our boots feature a lightweight feel with a pair weighing in at about 1.875 lbs. This is almost 1lb less than most boots in the market.

  • Breathable: Advanced manufacturing techniques are used to combine microfiber fabrics and PU to make our microfiber leather more stretchable, durable, flexible and air-permeable.

Microsuede Vegan Suede

We're also proud to offer a vegan suede that works as a wonderful alternative to animal suede, called Micro Suede. This technologically advanced fabric helps us achieve the suede look and feel without having to harm animals or compromising the environment.

  • Scratch Resistant: The durability of the micro-suede allows our shoes to fight against scratches and wear. Even with its soft surface feel, our microsuede is capable of persisting through wear and tear.
  • Lightweight: We use our same emphasis on lightweight vegan leather footwear to our vegan suede footwear. Compared to our competitors that offer vegan suede footwear, we highly value lightweight shoes designed to make you feel lighter and more mobile.
  • Breathable: Advanced manufacturing techniques are used to combine microfiber fabrics and PU to make our microfiber leather more stretchable, durable, flexible and air-permeable.

The Truth Behind Real Leather

The ways in which animals are treated like commodities have raised red flags, for many years, that point to cruelty and immense suffering. The environmental affects that result from the way animals are raised in factory farms are high contributors to contamination and pollution. To produce animal leather, factory farms require an incredible amount of resources to fit and feed animals. Before the leather is extracted, animals in factory farms release 130 times as much waste as the entire human population, which poses a threat to our waterways and releases harmful gases into our earth’s atmosphere. Once the animal skin is procured, the process required to turn animal skin into leather requires a variety of dangerous chemicals, some of which that are cyanide-based. Tanning leather is also a process that also results in exposing pollutants and hazardous chemicals, such as chromium, to the environment.
